A guest lecture was arranged for the third year Civil Engineering students studying Foundation Engineering (U15CE603R) by by Dr.R.Saravanan, Professor & Head, Department of Civil Engineering, Navodaya Insitute of Technology, Raichur, on the topic Pile foundations on 13.04.2021 through Microsoft team platform. This Guest lecture was helpful for the students to enhance their knowledge in the emerging areas of the foundation engineering.
He spoke about the importance of foundations engineering with examples from failures and importance of proper site investigations. All possible situations of soil and foundation failures were spoken and general guidance in civil engineering was given. Overall the feedback was good.
