The Department of ECE organized a Guest lecture on the topic of “Code your future: A Java Career Roadmap” for its students of batch 2022-26. It was held on 11.03.25 in Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam hall of ECE department. The session was handled by Mr.Navaneethan R, who is currently the manager, career support head at LiveWire, Salem. The resource person spoke on various career opportunites including and based on the Java language, starting with its role in front end designing, along with some of the basics of backend implementations. Some points on current trends in the IT industry were also delivered. He shared information about the possible ways of learning Java, the roadmap that will be introduced by them to the students who enroll with them for a Java course, and how these skills developed by the students will be useful to the students in real life industry aspects. He also assessed the students knowledge about current industry trends, and how they can enhance the same by means of constant practice.
Overall, this guest lecture was a great event to enhance knowledge of the students about various IT related sub-topics and Java language related industry trends , and how it might prove useful to them in industry related projects and career perspective.
