Organized in collaboration with UHN’s KITE Research Institute, Canada, and supported by Vee Technologies and Sona College of Technology, the Fibre Hybrid Conference brought together global researchers and innovators to explore the future of wearable and healthcare textiles.
Themed “A Healthier World with Smart Textiles,” the event highlighted groundbreaking projects developed through the Sona–FIBRE partnership, emphasizing collaborative innovation across borders.

The conference began with an open session that featured engaging talks, live demos, and networking, followed by a closed workshop at 7:30 PM (RSVP required), focused on collaborative funding and research opportunities.
The audience for both the open and closed sessions targeted KITE scientists and trainees. The open session also reached a broader audience, including creatives, AR/VR professionals, fashion designers, textile engineers, and academics from arts, design, and health disciplines.
The event was coordinated and successfully completed by Kirti Kumar with the support of the UHN team, ensuring smooth execution across all sessions.
