Department of Civil Engineering organized Faculty Development Programme from 15-05-2018 to 17-05-2018 for faculty members of Sona College of Technology on “Living Values” to facilitate students for their growth and career development by understanding their need and mind. There were around 50 participants from various departments of Sona College of Technology. The resource person was Mr. T. Ravichander of VishwaSeva Educational Trust (VSET), Chennai who is promoting living values in education for past 15 Years. First day introduction to facilitation process and steps for facilitation was discussed. Tools to achieve facilitation were listed by the participants and to make the process more clear few demo facilitations were done using various tools. Second day started with the relaxation exercise. Demonstrations were also given by the participants to create positive vibrations. Using various tools facilitation was practiced by the participants. Facilitation through role play was practiced in the afternoon session wherein the participants actively enacted and made the session lively. The third day mannerism to be followed by a facilitator was discussed. Facilitation by remaining participants was also done. Everyone shared their experience and feedback regarding the three days FDP on “living values” and take home messages were once again reviewed. The day ended with the certificate distribution.
