On 14th February 2020 and training programe was held on “ISO 14001; ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” in association with Excel consultancy, coimbatore. The programe was organized for the faculty members of civil engineering of Sona college of the technology. This training programe provided basic knowledge about the requirements of ISO 14001: 2015.The trainer (chief guest) was sir NAGARAJ from Excel consultancy and Dr R Malathy the HEAD OF THE CIVIL DEPARTMENT made her gracious presence and actively participated in the programe .sir gave a very detailed explanation about the various aspects of environmental issues and the impact of all those in the environment. He also presented this presentation through videos which made the programe an interesting one. He explained how the human activities cause damage to the surrounding. He also explained the impacts of that damage and linked the impact to the aspects. Finally, an oath was taken to reduce the pollution as much as possible in our surrounding and to make our campus a pollution free zone. All the faculty members were benefited from this training programe.
