A one day guest lecture on best way of designing a kitchen presented by Mr.Parivallal (CEO, CNC Solutions Pvt Ltd) on 18.01.2017 from 2.00 to 5.00pm. The programme was organized by Prof.S.Thirumurugan and Prof. S. Kalaiselvi at M.E first year class room in Civil engineering department. The Students and faculty members were participated actively. The guest has presented about the basic plan preparation for kitchen with case studies and also referred the plan orientation with national building code of INDIA. The required dimension of the projections, height of slabs from floors, height of doors at lintel level,  position of exhaust fans  and minimum dimensions required as per triangular diagram on plan  were clearly explained  based on the reality conditions in the buildings. Overall the session provides valuable information on kitchen design considering the safety, durability and hygienic condition of the kitchen.
