Three days Orientation programme was organized for the II year students of Civil Engineering from 5th July to 7th July 2017. Around 100 students participated in this programme. On the first day, inaugural function started at 9.30 a.m in the presence of Dr.M.Usha, Principal, Er.K.Parivallal, CEO, DMW CNC Center and Dr.R.Malathy, HOD/Civil.
On 5th July 2017, Er.K.Parivallal, enlightened all the students of II year the ways to identify their inner engineering skills. He also taught some basic techniques to keep our mind open to accept all the challenges.
In the afternoon session, he shared his vast knowledge in the field of Civil Engineering to the students and gave guidance for their career development. His speech rightly leads the student to think about the importance of their career.
On the Second day of the programme, all the faculty members of Civil Department presented the role they play towards Academic Excellence of the department and the various association activities of the upcoming semester.
In the afternoon session, students from III year and IV year welcomed their juniors and shared their experience about the department and motivated them to participate in all the events.
On the third day, Mr. V. Arul Dev, the key note speaker discussed about the Self Awareness needed to the students, setting of a goal, the various ways to attain the goals and Self evaluation.
He also created interest in the Holistic Development of the students towards their carrier in an effective manner. In the afternoon session, he elaborated the ways to handle the personal and collective responsibility of a student. Thus the three days programme came to an end successfully.
