Civil Alumni Meet – 2016
(CIAL’2016)
The alumni were welcomed back to the department, Sona College of Technology for the Alumni Meet on Thursday 14th January 2016.
The multifarious Students Organizer’s of Department of Civil Engineering welcoming all the alumni was the highlight of the day.
CIAL’2016 took place for all the Civilions right from the first batch of 2007 to 2015. 50 alumni were present for the meet. There were alumni with their family who came to celebrate the day.As per the agenda mentioned in the invitation the day starts with the registration. The alumni meet was highlighted by the Pongal Celebration in a traditional manner.
With the welcome address of Head of the Department Dr.R.Malathy, the Alumni Meet was inaugurated. Faculty group accompanied by current students engaged Alumni Meet through lot of activities; alumni shared their experience, knowledge with the students.
As a token of appreciation the Alumni Mr. Ramesh 2007 (cognizant Technical Solution), Mr.D.Arun Kumar 2007 (shapoorji pallunji & co Ltd), Dr.Depak Muniraj 2012 (Bathra Landmarks), Mr. A.Anatharaj 2012 (Tecton Engineering & Construction) were honored for their various real time achievements.
A Fun event was arranged in front of the First Year Block. After the various fun events, at PG Auditorium the crowd gathered for the BACK TO COLLEGE.
Back to college is the Multimedia Presentation which interrogates the life style and memories of the alumni in the Department of Civil Engineering.
Alumni and students performed their cultural with the light music by Sonaria Team; Department of Civil Engineering played the alumni’s favorites and a collection of friendship songs as well thay rekindled their memories. Students of Civil Department performed a dance.The Sona Civil Alumni Association had a good chance to provide a meet to our buddies reminisce in an informal setting.
