‘B’ CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION
Institutional training conducted at Sona College on 3rd March is the cornerstone of NCC training and is led by Associate NCC Officers and Armed Forces personnel. The syllabus comprises Common Subjects and Service Subjects in a ratio of 70:30. While Senior Wing/Division training spans three years with 300 periods, Junior Wing/Division training lasts for two years with 240 periods. Training schedules are meticulously planned to ensure maximum benefit for all cadets, with a strong emphasis on practical training. The case study method of instruction is utilized wherever possible to encourage active participation and enhance assimilation.During the training session, our Sona cadets, along with the TPT cadets, were addressed by the PI staff and ANOs regarding exam methods. Institutional training encompasses basic military training, a crucial part of the curriculum that prepares cadets for potential roles in the Armed Forces. Its primary aim is to expose young cadets to the ‘regimental way of life,’ instilling values such as discipline, duty, punctuality, orderliness, smartness, respect for authorities, correct work ethos, and self-confidence.
Efforts are made to generate interest among cadets by highlighting and emphasizing aspects of Institutional Training that attract them to the NCC, providing an element of thrill and excitement in the process.
