The Sona Alumni Association (SAA) is an independent, non-profit membership organization founded on 10 Jan 2000 by Sona College of Technology, Salem, with a current strength of more than 15,000 alumni across the globe.
The association endeavors to strengthen the ties among its alumni by addressing the concerns of members with a view to learn and adapt to changes that are necessary. It works as an interface for maintaining the relationship with the alumni and to involve them in the development and growth of the institution. It promotes and encourages the alumni to exchange professional knowledge by organizing conferences, seminars, lectures and meetings amongst alumni, students, faculty and others.
Our alumni are in more than 450 companies in various domains across the world. Since we establish a continuous interaction with Alumni, it is expected to increase the placement opportunities of the students. SAA makes earnest attempts to strengthen the bonds between the alumni and Sona. The alumni performance in the corporate world has made SONA one of the best Engineering Institutions in India.
Recently Sona has been ranked the 47th place among the 1500 engineering institutions across India by MHRD.
