All India seminar on “An effective integrated management approach on municipal solid waste management” on 25th &26th April 2017 was organised by the Institution of Engineer (India) Salem local centre, in association with Sona College of Technology. We had our Convenor Dr.R.Malathy, and organizing secretary Prof.N.Savitha from Sona College of Technology. The seminar mainly focused on minimizing the rate of waste generation through education and source reduction to decrease the volume of residual waste which must be managed. The gathering was welcomed by Dr.R.Malathy and felicitations were done by our vice chairman Shri.ThyaguValliappa, Director-Industry connectDr.V.Jayaprakash, Principal Dr.M.Usha. Special address was delivered by Dr.S.T.Ramesh, Associate Professor and Associate Dean, of NIT Trichy, Dr.M.P.Rajasekharan, CEO, of sustainable Enviro Promoter, Trichy and Er.Saravanan, IEI Salem local centre.
