Department of Civil Engineeringwas organized a One day Guest lecture on “Advanced Surveying Using Total Station” for II year Civil Engineering students on 10.10.2019. The lecture was delivered byEr.M.BalaMurugan, Managing Director, TOSET Land Surveying andMappingInstitute,Salem. He delivered a lecture on Basics in Total Station, GPS and advanced tools used in advanced surveying. Also he discussed about the working principle of total station and applications of it. Totally 130 students were attended a lecture and interacted with a guest speaker. The students also have taken, hands on training on Total station. The students were given a very good feedback. This guest lecture was coordinated by Mr.B.Prabu, AP/Civil, Mr.M.Adiyaman, AP/Civil and Mr.D.Nandakumar, AP/Civil on behalf of Department of Civil Engineering, Sona College of Technology, Salem.
