We actively collaborate with leading healthcare organizations such as Dr. Sasi Eye Care, Sri Gokulam Hospital, Dharan Hospitals, Shanmuga Hospital Pvt Ltd, and Deepam Hospital (Chennai). Our international partnerships include research collaborations with the University of Strathclyde (UK), UniversitΓ Politecnica delle Marche (Italy), UHN (Canada), and the University of Geneva (Switzerland). Through these initiatives, we aim to bridge the gap between engineering and healthcare, fostering innovation that improves patient outcomes and advances medical technology.
The Department of Fashion Technology is all set to mould the future of enthusiastic aspirants to the exciting world of garments and fashion. During the comprehensive degree programme which, we believe, is one of the best in the country, we provide the participants with intensive training in modern technologies that encompass the latest trends and equip them with a variety of skills to face the stiff competition in the global market of apparel and fashion. "Practice, Practice and More Practice" is the credo of this department.
A devoted and enthusiastic team comprising faculty and laboratory staff on the one hand and well-laid out laboratories equipped with the latest in garment and associated machinery on the other, provide a personal touch to ensure that the students imbibe the practical skills in garment manufacture and fashion design that industry is constantly on the lookout for. Our syllabus covers a wide area of technology including Textile Fibres, Fabrics, Colour Concepts, the finer aspects of Garment Machinery and Garment Manufacture including CAD in Fabric and Garment Design using world-class software and Work Study and Quality Control.
We even take the students on a technical voyage way beyond all this, depending upon the precise needs of industry and the real world. Apart from the curricular activities, the students are encouraged to take part in National and State Level Seminars and Fashion Design Competitions. Taking the cue, our ebullient students regularly participate in State and National Level contests and bring back accolades that add greatly to the reputation of the college.
