The name IEEE is originally an acronym for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. Today, the organization's scope of interest has expanded into so many related fields, that it is simply referred to by the letters I-E-E-E (pronounced Eye-triple-E).
IEEE student branch at SONA COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY has always carried IEEE’s motto of promoting the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, & applying knowledge about electro- and information technologies & sciences for the benefit of humanity & the profession. As a result IEEE has helped in contributing towards advancement in global prosperity, trying to foster technological innovation, enabling members’ careers, promoting worldwide community.
Dr. C.Easwarlal, IEEE Student Branch Counselor, Sona College of Technology has always been the inspiration, with which the branch has come across some distinguished achievements. The branch activities are co-ordinated by Dr. S.Padma and Prof. M.Paneer Selvam, who have always put in incredible efforts to make the activities successful.
