NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

PROGRAMME SCHEDULE

With the motto of “HEALTHY YOUTH FOR HEALTH INDIA”, the 7 day special camp was conducted from 10.02.2011 – 16.02.2011 at the villages Kamalapuram, Pottiapuram and Sattur.

1. Awareness was created among the public about the importance of planting trees and various Government schemes were explained to the people.
2. Students were enlightened on various topics like Human Values & Ethics, Research on Space & Science, Consumer products, Indian Constitution through seminars.

1. The inaugural function was held at Kamalapuram Elementry School.
2. The tree samplings were planted in the school premises by the chief guest.
3. The tree samplings were planted in and around villages by our NSS volunteers.
4. The survey for the forthcoming events took place in the afternoon session.

1. Free eye screening camp was conducted for the people of Kamalapuram by Rishi Nethralaya hospital, Salem and also free cataract operation was done for them.
2. Vocational training on various streams in self employment was explained to the people of Pottiapuram.
3. Adding to human values of the volunteers a seminar was conducted to them on the topic “Human Values & Ethics”.

1. The immunity vaccines & free treatment were given to the cattle by the Government vetenery doctor.
2. General Camp was conducted in Pottiapuram village by SKS hospital, Salem.
3. A seminar on “Research on Space & Science” took place in afternoon session.
4. The carrier guidance programme was arranged for the 10th students and was guided to face public exam by Mr.Manikandan.

1. General medical camp was conducted by Kurinji Hospital at Kamalapuram.
2. The village people were emphasized the importance of agriculture and rearing cattle through a seminar.

1. Free eye screening camp was conducted for the people of Pottiapuram by Rishi Nethralaya hospital, Salem and also free cataract operation was done for them.
2. Gopi Hospital, Salem conducted a camp on Diabetics and awareness at Sattur.
3. Self employment program was conducted for the people of Sattur on the topic Milk & Milk products.

1. Dental camp was conducted by the Vinayaga Mission College and Hospital at Kamalapuram.
2. Free eye screening camp was conducted for the people of Sattur by Rishi Nethralaya hospital, Salem and also free cataract operation was done for them.
3. The computer education program was conducted for the school children at Pottiapuram.
4. Various competitions, testing the skills of the school students were conducted and the winners were rewarded.

1. Vetenary camp was conducted at Sattur by Government doctor and various cattle got immunization vaccines and were treated.
2. The camp ended successfully with the valedictory function and prizes were distributed to the volunteers.

1. More than 35 people undergone the free cataract surgery conducted by the Rishi Nethralaya.
2. Two children were adopted by the NSS volunteers for their studies.  
3. Self-employment group members of the villages were benefited by the self employment training programme conducted by Community Polytechnic, Salem.
