NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

ONE DAY MEDICAL CAMP:

NSS Wing of Sona College of Technology – Salem, joined hands with SKS Hospital and conducted a One day Medical camp at Pottipuram and Kamalapuram village on 26th September 2010. A team of 30 volunteers from third year organized the camp with the assistance of 3 doctors and 14 technicians from SKS Hospital, around 450 people were benefited. On 25th September 2010, around 70 volunteers surveyed the people about the importance of general health checkup and also issued the pamphlets.
On 26th September 2010, the camp started by 9.00am and the volunteers guided the people to the camp site. Through this camp, the people were aware of their blood pressure, sugar level, height, weight and their blood group. They also had a general medical checkup, free medicines were provided to them. Finally, the camp ended by 2.00pm followed by an interaction session for the volunteers. The camp was organized by the NSS Volunteers and guided by the Programme Officers.
