  1. The department has developed a detailed Strategic plan for its overall development. Strategic Plan 1 (2007-09); Strategic Plan 2 (2009-2012)
  2. The department students fetched the gold medal (Rank 1) and the 3rd and 6th University Ranks in the 2005 – 2009 batch.
  3. The department achieved 100% results in all subjects of Semester 7 in the Anna University Examinations, November 2009.
  4. The department achieved 100% results in all subjects of Semesters 6 and 8 in the Anna University Examinations, April 2009.
  5. The department stands first among all the FT degree offering engineering colleges in the November, 2009 and April, 2009 University Examinations.
  6. The FT Department students won the Overall Championship Trophy in the National Level Students’ Symposium ‘TEXPLOSION ‘09’ organized by Anna University. Chennai on 28th and 19th February, 2009.
  7. The FT Department students won the Overall Championship Trophy in the National Level Students’ Symposium organized by Sree Krishna Engineering College, Chennai on 14th March, 2009.
