A Technical Seminar on the title “Industrial Drives” was organized by IEEE Madras Section through IEEE Student Branch, Sona College of Technology at 11 AM.  60 students have participated the programme.  The session was handled by Mr K. Ponnuswamy, Retired General Manager (Control Systems), Seshasayee Paper Board, Erode. Types of industrial drives, new technologies available and problems faced by the industrial drives have been discussed in the seminar.  The session ended at 1 PM.  Dr SRR Senthilkumar, Principal, Sona College of Technology honoured the resource person.

A Technical workshop on “Embedded and Electronics Programming” was organized by IEEE Student Branch, Sona College of Technology at 9 AM on 9th February 2019.  30 students have participated in the programme.  The session was handled by Mr. Ajay Singh Dahiya, Embedded Engineer, Tricog Health Services Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.  Basics of embedded systems were explained.  The applications of embedded systems in various fields were taught to the participants.  The session ended at 2 PM.
