The IEEE Madras Section along with the Department of Humanities and Languages and of IEEE Student Branch Sona College of Technology, Salem, conducted a Faculty Skill Development Programme on “Exploring the Role of Language Lab in Training the Students in Language Skills”.  30 Faculties from various institutions were benefitted from the workshop.  Dr. N. Kumarappan, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Annamalai University, explained the e-learning resources available at IEEE.  Dr. B. Sathiyabhama, Professor and HOD, department of CSE, Sona College of Technology, explained the importance of using the free e-learning resources like Moodle.  Dr. M. Renuga, Professor and HOD, Department of Humanities and Languages, Sona College of Technology, explained how the broadcasting software works and all the participants were given a chance to have hands on experience to make use of the broadcasting software.  Finally, a session on converting a text into speech using a freely downloadable software was conducted to show the usefulness of the software in designing one’s own listening task.

ROXENT Technology and IEEE Student Branch presented “Internet Of Things (IOT) Workshop”. Over 56 participants has been trained by Mr. Verma, instructor for TechBharat Consulting.

IEEE membership awareness programme conducted for the first year student more than 120 student are participated in the event.

IEEE Student Branch and WIE conduct a national level technical event “CIRZ TREASURAZE” was conducted to explore the technical aspects of the students, Over 72 participants has been benefited.

23rd MAR 2016

Workshop on Big Data Analytics was conducted.  20 student participants from various colleges attended the event.

24th MAR 2016

Technical Symposium CIRCUITRIX ’16 was conducted.  150 students from various colleges participated in the various events like paper presentation, technical quiz, circuit debugging.
