The ‘Sona Pro-Shop’ shop is developed with the objectives of exploring the inherent talents of FT students and staff in the fields of garment designing and making, creating industry – industry partnership for product development and finally enhancing the ‘SONA’ brand in the society.
Here, the students and faculty of Fashion Technology department of SONA develop design for various garments and other accessories with their creative intelligence.
M/s Sona Valliappa Textiles, a reputed textile industry in Salem engaged for the past 80 years in the manufacture of textiles, join hands with SONA by making quality garments using the above designs. The shop is managed with effective sales promotion and marketing by the students and faculty to enlarge its scope.
With this initiative, SONA has entered into a new era of introducing foreign Universities / Institutions strategy of promoting their own brand.
