We celebrated the “World Environment Day” on 5 June, 2018. A press meet was arranged on that occasion to display our environment friendly products namely solar processed foods, waste paper recycled products, paver blocks made from steel slag, cloth materials and some of the products developed at our college. Dr. S.R.R. Senthil Kumar, Principal of SONA College of Technology, precided the function along with Dr. C.V. Koushik, Director – Academics, SONA College of Technology, Dr. M.Usha, Principal Investigator of DST-WTP project, staffs and students. The products is planned to be used within the college campus to make SONA a plastic free, clean and green campus. After the display a rally for creating awareness about Environment was conducted from our college. The photos and write-up were published in local news papers and also telecasted in some channels.
