Sona College of Technology celebrated its Sports Day on 15th March 2018 at the College Sports Ground. Mr. Aditya Elango (International Badminton Player) was the Chief Guest for the day.
The day started at 11 am with an interactive session with the college badminton players and the evening session kicked off at 4 pm with the flag hoisting by Chief Guest. To enliven the sports events the Olympic torch was lid our chairman and he declared the sports meet open.
Sports event were conducted for boys and girls. The students displayed a wide array of reverberant events such as Go kart race and Martial art activities.
Mr. C.Raja Vignesh (Physical Director) read the Annual sports report.
Mr.Aditya Elango Chief Guest gave an inspirational speech and insisted the students to follow Dr.A.P.J Abdul kalam quote “Small aim is a crime so dream big” and appreciated our management for having such a world class sports infrastructure facilities at our campus
Our both the Vice chairmen inspired the gathering by their diminutive speech.
Our Chairman gave the presidential address and motivated our students by his vibrating Speech. He insisted the physical director to allot an exclusive timing for girls at the play field.
Our Principal presented the felicitation speech and appreciated our girls for their outstanding achievements. Later on, our chief guest distributed the prizes to the award winners.
The function ended up with National Anthem.
