Department of Fashion Technology, Sona College of Technology, Salem, organised a one day Intra college student symposium “SONAFTA 2018” at the college campus on 20.08.18. Dr. S.R.R.Senthil Kumar, Principal, and Dr.M.Usha, Sr. Dean I &CE, Sona College of Technology, Salem, inaugurated the Symposium and FIYOS club. Over 250 students of our department participated in various events including paper presentation, poster presentation, fashion illustration, technical quiz, surface ornamentation and kids couture. Students won prizes to the tune of Rs 20,000.
Mr. Aman Kumar Arunachalam, Factory Production Manager, Kids Kreations Co. Ltd, Bangkok, Thailand delivered the Inaugural Address in which he emphasised the contribution to be put up by the students in the development of textile, fashion industries and the opportunities available to achieve the same. Certificates and cash prizes were distributed to the winners.
