PG Orientation Programme
The orientation program for ME construction engineering and management and Structural engineering students was conducted on 14.09.2017 with around 42 students. The program was organised by the respective class councellors Prof.P.Ashok Kumar and Prof.P.Priyadarshni. The idea of this program is to give a brief introduction to the students about the civil department and the various activities done here.
We started with the welcome address given by Dr.R.Malathy, Head of the Department and followed by the Inaugural address delivered by the chief guest of the day Mr.V.Sriraman, Founder, Prayojana Construction Management Training Institute. Following this the department activities like Board of Studies, Students chapters, Projects and internships, Continuing Education was explained by the respective faculty incharge.
An exclusive seminar was arranged for the students by the chief guest Mr.V.Sriraman on Construction Challenges in Civil Engineering field. We thank the management and Principal Dr.M.Usha for giving us this opportunity to conduct this program fruitful. We also extend our heartful thanks to Head of the Department Dr.R.Malathy for her support in taking forward this program and a special mention of thanks to all the faculty members of civil department for their involvement in this program.
