The Civil Engineering Department of Sona College of Technology has organized a two days 4thNational Conference on Innovations in Concrete and Construction on 06/03/18 and 07/03/18. The conference was inaugurated on 6th March’18. The welcome address was given by Dr.D.Jegatheeswaran Professor/Civil, Dr.R.Malathy Prof&Head delivered an address about the conference and its outcomes, Dr.S.R..R.Senthilkumar Principal, SCT delivered the presidential address. A special key note address was given by Dr.R.Senthil, Professor, Anna University on Composite space frames and Dr.D.Tensing, Director/Civil, Karunya University delivered a special key note address on “MR Dampers for Seismic resistance structures”. On 07/03/18, a special address was given by Mr.Sriram and Mrs.Sudha on Construction Manangement on 3D space frame construction techniques from Prayojana Construction Management Training Institute, Salem. After the technical paper presentation a special lecture was given by Dr.M.N.A.Gulshan Taj, Associate Professor of Sona College of technology. Students and faculties from various engineering colleges were presented their papers and research findings in the conference. Best paper award was given among the papers presented and certificates for presentation were given for the participants. Vote of thanks for the event was given by Dr.P.Velumani, Prof/Civil, Sona College of Technology.
