COMPETITIONS CONDUCTED BY ICI STUDENTS CHAPTER
The ICI student chapter of Civil engineering department has more than 300 student members. In order to arrange to train personnel for the needs of changing concepts in the technology many events are conducted under ICI banner. Group discussion is organized for second and third year students, which will be helpful for their activities. Prelims of Group discussion was conducted on 13.07.2017 for each group consisting 10 members. Those selected from the prelims, has participated in the final, which is judged by placement faculty. A multimedia event on the topic recent trends in civil engineering is also conducted on 14.07.2017 to exhibit student’s technical knowledge. Photography event is conducted on the theme” Elevations of the campus” on 14.09.2017. More than 20 participants displayed their colorful images. The images were judged by Mrs.Kalaivani and Mr.Senthil from Sonaversity. The event “Elevation in Rangoli’ had overwhelmed response from the students . More than 12 groups of students participated and drew the renowned elevation using rangoli. This event is judged by Dr.R.Malathy, HoD/Civil. The winners of these events are awarded with certificates.
