The Annual Day Celebrations of Sona College of Technology, Salem was held on 22.2.2017. The celebrations began with Welcome Address and Annual Report of our achievements by our Principal Dr. M. Usha. The Extensive Service Report was presented by Dr. B. Sathyabhama and the student association and club reports by student representative. The Chief Guest for the celebrations was Mr. Sandeep Agarwal, Senior Vice-President, Engineering R&D Services, Happiest Minds Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. Mr. Sandeep Agarwal motivated the students to be industry ready in his Annual Day Address. Our Vice Chairmen Mr. Chocko Valliappa and Mr. Thyagu Valliappa emphasised the skills students should possess to compete and get placed.
Honourable Chairman Mr. C. Valliappa addressed the students to be equipped with knowledge and skills. Dr. C.V. Koushik announced the best outgoing students from various departments. Management Scholarships for an amount of Rs. 17,26,000 was distributed to the students. Students were given appreciation awards. The vote of thanks was rendered by Dr. M. Selvaraj. The celebrations came to an end by 8.00 pm.
