The Annual Day of Sona College of Technology was held on March 15th 2018. The programme commenced at 10.30am. The Principal Dr. S. R. R. Senthil Kumar delivered the welcome address and presented the Annual report. He also recorded the achievements of the college.
The extension service report was presented by Dr. M.Usha. The report gave elaborate details of Research Centres, ongoing research projects, Continuing Education courses etc., conducted by various departments. The Students’ representative gave a presentation about the various club and students association activities. Mr.Kamal Bali, Managing Director, Volvo- India, Bengaluru, was the chief guest and in his special address, he motivated students to have a successful and contented life through perseverence. Dr. Vijayarangan, Senior Scientist, TCS Innovation Labs, Chennai, was the guest of honour. He highlighted the importance of being strong in fundamentals. Students were honoured for their achievements through various awards and rewards. Dr. J. Akilandeshwari, HOD, IT department rendered the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end by 2.00 pm.
