Sona Alumni Association (SAA) conducted Alumni Meet for the year 2018 (RETROSPECT ‘18) on 11.08.2018 at 10 A.M. We celebrated it in a grand manner at Sona Auditorium. The programme started with ‘Tamizthai valthu’ and followed by the welcome address of our beloved principal. Our alumnus Smt. Ummidi Sai Pallavi, IRS officer, addressed the gathering with her motivating speech for the students. Our beloved Vice-Chairman Sri Thiagu Valliappa delivered the Felicitation address.
There was a small interaction between the alumni of various years of passed out. There were nearly 600 alumni gathered and refreshed their old memories. There were surprising AVs prepared by present Sonarians for alumni in order to cherish back their college days. There were lot of fun events with special prizes arranged for alumni and for their kids. The alumni were excited to bring back their golden days of their collegehood.

The alumni were really pleased to receive these awards from our special juries. Lucky draw event was conducted in front of our beloved principal and all department alumni coordinators. Out of which, the lucky winners were selected by the hands of our principal. There were exciting prizes such as Mobile phone, fastrack watches, steel waterbottles, hotboxes, etc.,
There were special cultural events conducted by our present Sonarians and Sonata club for the past Sonarians. Kids of alumni also participated in culturals and performed dance movements with present sonarians.
Refreshments and lunch was provided for the entire gathering with Buffet through our management of Sona College of Technology.
The entire programme concluded with our national anthem at 4 P.M.
