Sona College of Technology, celebrated Republic Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour. The gamut of celebration activities held on the campus consisted of cultural events, and impressive parade. The Chairman Sri. C. Valliappa hoisted the Tricolor Flag. The national anthem echoed in the entire campus.
Students marched in contingents to the beat of drum while the Chairman Sri. C. Valliappa, Director Academics Dr. C.V.Koushik, Dr. SRR. Senthil Kumar, Principal, Sona College of Technology. Dr. V. Karthikeyan, Principal Thiagarajar Polytechnic College and Dr. G.M. Kadhar Nawaz, Principal, Sona Arts and Science College presided over it. After the march past, the Principal SCT gave the Welcome Address, Dr. V. Karthikeyan, Principal TPT delivered the Introductory Address and Special Address was given by the Chairman Sri. C. Valliappa. Special Awards were given to Freedom Fighters to commemorate their achievements. The cultural events were organized. The Programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
