Innovation and Creativity is not a difficult task and it is not a by ‘birth’ quality of a person and it can be acquired. When we try to substitute something with an existing one, it can be called an innovation. For example, when cement is replaced with some other material in concrete, that is an innovation. Also, when two things are combined for making one product it is an innovation. For example, a chair can be used as a cradle also. Likewise, if a product is utilised for some other purpose, in addition to the purpose for which it is manufactured it is an innovation. For instance, a cell phone is not only used for communication purpose and many other features are incorporated..
When the modification is done i.e., enlarging or reducing the existing one like mobile phone or computer it is also an innovation. If a process is rearranged or reversed for getting different output, it will lead to an innovation. Not only inserting new, eliminating unwanted part of a product, for example, LCD computer from old one is also an innovation.
Hence, every one of us can innovate and bring new product provided, it should be eco friendly, social oriented and cost effective.
